If you ever suffer from extreme anxiety or panic attacks, some of the remedies I’m going to tell you about now may well relax you and make you feel a whole lot better. As with all self help treatments, it ultimately comes down to how much you want to change.

If you don’t do any kind of exercise, then get yourself into a regular routine and stick to it.

Okay, here’s the deal. You suffer from anxiety, want to get better but hate exercise. Well, that’s tough basically. If you work out or go for a swim or a cycle four times a week or more I guarantee you will feel better and a whole lot more relaxed. So you owe it to yourself to try it.

Drinking herbal teas is another great way of relaxing, especially those that include Jasmine or Chamomile. These are famous for their calming qualities and their ability to relax both the body and mind.

If for whatever reason you can’t exercise, and you find the taste of tea vile, we’ll move swiftly on to our next recommendation; meditation. Just find yourself a quiet place where you can be by yourself and just relax. If you are unsure, there are plenty of books and websites on the subject.

My last recommendation is to tap into the power of music. Learn an instrument or simply listen to music. Both are known to greatly reduce stress levels, stimulate your mind and push whatever it is that you are worrying about clean out of your mind.

All of these techniques have been proven to reduce stress levels and promote relaxation. Choose one and stick to it, don’t chop and change as you won’t do enough to feel the benefits. The only one that can be used in combination with another one is the tea drinking for obvious reasons.
